Yes, the 26 acre wasteland that James Dolan, Christine Quinn, Dick Gottfried and company are trying to stick New Yorkers with now has a name.

It was feverish, it was intense, but the eBay auction for the naming rights to said train yard has finally ended. Well, maybe not so feverish or intense. The naming rights sold for one penny, which is about what they are worth. The new name of the train yard is

The Mike Angell
Center at Dan the Man Land.

Below, in red, is an email from our winning bidder, explaining the name.

We at WestSideStadium.org think Dan the Man Land has a certain catchy ring to it.

When Christine Quinn, Dick Gottfried, Thom Duane and friends next run for any office larger than their own nimby district, we will be happy to invite New Yorkers to our neighborhood, the Dan the Man Land train yard. And that train yard will be there in twenty years, you can be sure of that.

The name of the train yard is now The Mike Angell
Center at Dan the Man Land. I know that most of your
website visitors will not understand why I have chosen
this name. I wanted to have the naming rights for
something so I could name it whatever I wanted and I
wanted to have a memory of my father. Even though this
is not legitimate, with the pictures on the website, I
can now have this memory of him. Because of this, I
really don't want you to refund the money, just put a
picture of the trainyard with the name on it and that
will be enough. Thank you and I sincerely hope the
Jets can finally have a place to call their own. Being
a fan of the only other team playing in a stadium
named for another team(the Cardinals), I know how it
feels to have no home field. Best of luck.
