Wrong on Silver
Manhattan: Boy, are you wrong, wrong, wrong about Sheldon Silver ("Shelly Silver: wrong, wrong, wrong," editorial, June 7). God bless Silver for denouncing Mayor Bloomberg's megalomaniacal attempt to saddle taxpayers with a stadium we don't need and to foist on us an Olympics that would be an engraved invitation to repeat Sept. 11, 2001.

Astoria: Mayor Bloomberg says we "let America down" ("Mayor sez game over," June 8). Last time I checked, Mike, you're not the mayor of America - and most of your actual constituents didn't want this monstrosity built.

Still hoping
Kew Gardens: I encourage the Jets to continue with plans for the stadium using the current design ("W. Side story: No way!," June 7). As the building rises next to the Javits Convention Center, the state will reconsider funding for the roof and air conditioning. The dream is alive.
